I have been hunting a bad gas gauge for months Well after i found this I was able top wedge myself between my aftermarket muffler and driveshaft and remove the short wiring harness coming out of pump. It was still wrapped from factory but after I removed pump I was able to see the little black box approx 1. The two wires orange and black and yellow and white run in and out of the box same wires that cause issues at frame rail connector. Also a red wire feeds into it. I started moving rthe wires to find the red wire which I assume is a power feed fell right off.
