So I am getting a new sensor installed and having it emptied and refilled to the correct pressure, thanks everyone for your replies. Sure enough it was my condenser fan.

Before opening the hood to see if there is anything wrong with the AC compressor, start the Ram and turn the AC off and back on a few times. Do it somewhere quiet. Something else is the problem. Or, it may be turned by an independent belt. Inspect the belt to see if it is cracked or shiny.

I have found out you can't really replace just the clutch If it stops you have your answer. My money is on the fan or a dirty condenser.
