Due to crash and fire hazards, Yamaha Motor Corporation has issued a recall on approximately snowmobiles with aftermarket turbochargers. In the affected models, the turbocharger overboost can cause severe engine damage, posing crash and fire hazards to the user. The recalled snowmobiles were sold in several colors. The model name is printed on the left and right side of the front cowling. The vehicle identification number VIN and the model number are stamped on the frame tunnel near the right foot-well.

After a season playing with and learning the subtle differences between the Arctic Cat-built Yamaha Viper and the real deal Cat, there are enough differences for the better that make us prefer the Yamaha-branded version. That was why Yamaha insisted that its Cat-built models used it. Because the clutching effectively evolved with various Yamaha 4-strokes, it best fits the torque and rpm characteristics unique to this four-stroke engine. In our season-long experience with a short-tracked Viper, drivetrain performance was just fine. The engine for both brands is fitted with a Cat-specified 41mm triple throttle bodied electronic injection intake and three-into-one right side exiting canister exhaust. The clutch option is the key differentiator here.

Who sang all by myself
And Boondocker turbo kit, It came in at pounds. The early release 's that come out in the spring of 15' were the old engines. The suspensions are a total joke. It may not display this or other websites correctly. Yamaha not knowing which engines had the untreated rods, has issued a recall for all MPI dealer installed turbos. I would never recommend that sled for trail riding. Happyhours Veteran. And the engine failed again with another connecting rod failure and a small fire which I put out. The newer ones have tuner skis and are known to push really bad. Very unlike them for sure, bizarre. The production mild steel rod is being replaced free of charge for all Viper customers with a Japanese equivalent to chrome moly SCM Never a problem again. To the original poster: Was it the MPI kit?
Sporty, yet versatile. Suited for cruising, but quite capable of cutting a quick, tight corner.
Really the only thing I liked about it was the heated seat. MuscleD Replies. Staff member. Can't say that about many other sleds out there. There's a chance that if you have a early build it will have the old motor in it. I have ran this year on hard pack snow most of the season with no issue with cooling. I was thinking it would be night and day difference over our old machines. Seems all 4 strokes have some sort of frozen relay issues. After miles the connecting rod let go and went through the block. Hand warmers that don't work, ski's that are garbage, inferior suspensions, frozen, cheap relays, with no-starts when cold, and the massive weight.
I join. All above told the truth. Let's discuss this question.
I suggest you to come on a site where there is a lot of information on a theme interesting you.
