Delegates representing 60 countries and territories were selected to compete in the pageant; [2] three of these delegates were appointed to their titles after an audition process or other internal selection Cuba , Germany, and Mauritius , [9] [10] two contestants were designated after the withdrawal of the original contestant. Eight winners or runner-ups of previous years national pageants were appointed to their national titles, including; Galina Lukina of Bashkortostan , was designated to represent the territory by Luiza Zakiryanova, the director of Miss Bashkortostan.

At the conclusion of the coronation night of Miss Grand International , the seventh edition of Miss Grand International pageant, Lourdes Valentina Figuera Morales of Venezuela was crowned the new queen.
