The car with a driver and four passengers and the truck crashed on McNaughton Avenue at Wallace Street just before 10 p. The driver of the car, a year-old Wallaceburg woman, along with a year-old Wallaceburg man and a year-old Wallaceburg woman who were passengers died at the scene, police said in a news release Monday. A year-old Dover Township woman, who was also a passenger in the vehicle, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a London hospital in critical condition, police said. The fourth passenger, a year-old Wallaceburg woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance by paramedics, police said. As of Monday morning, the scene had been cleared and reopened to traffic. Tire skids and shards of glass were still visible and there was damage to a guardrail. Jim Cohmer, who lives on Wallace Street, said he was the first at the scene after hearing the crash. The car turned onto McNaughton Avenue from Wallace Street and collided with tanker truck that was going north on McNaughton, police said. The driver of the tanker truck suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, police said.
