Contrast variation small-angle neutron scattering SANS was used to characterize the microemulsion aggregates and adsorbed films. These SANS data show that water-in-toluene microemulsions stabilized by aromatic-AOTs contain mildly polydisperse spherical nanodroplets of similar structure to those found in systems containing normal AOT.
