An official announcement is expected in several weeks after toxin reports return from the state lab. Staley had apparently been deceased for several days before police discovered him on his couch, decomposed beyond immediate recognition. A Saturday autopsy confirmed his identity. Reuters reports that police have ruled out foul play and no criminal investigation will take place.
