She gave up a career in banking after meeting Rob in Tokyo and he persuaded her to leave all of her family and friends in Japan to start a new life with him in the UK. She is so upset and lonely. Amanda and her rumoured new beau have known each other for at least five years and their friendship is believed to have blossomed through working closely together - something which Yusami had reportedly been uncomfortable with.
