This Park Connection bus line bound for Anchorage affords passengers lovely views and a comfortable ride on the six-hour route from Denali Park. The drive starts in the canyon area outside the park entrance and slowly descends through open tundra into spruce forests. After passing over the foot-high Hurricane Gulch Bridge, the route progresses alongside Kesugi Ridge to the east, and the Alaska Range to the west. At Willow, the small town that hosts the official Iditarod start in March every year, the highway turns east toward Wasilla. The motorcoach drives through the Palmer Hayflats game refuge and past Eagle River before arriving into Anchorage.
