This tutorial shows how to structure and draw an anime face with a focus on explaining how it can be constructed from anime proportions shapes.

Remember to make sure the sections are measured accurately! As a child grows up, their body grows a lot more than their head, which is why we see the toushin go up as a character ages. The more toushin a character has, the more tall and grown-up they will look!
In this particular drawing this is most obvious with the shadow on the neck having roughly the same shape as the chin. When positioning the ears you can do it in a couple of ways, anime proportions.
