In-Game Description. Found in the High Wall of Lothric , on a path hidden behind some barrels after passing through the rooftop area, inside a chest after one drops down to the scaffolding below. While it does have higher base damage than the Long Sword , it should be noted that it scales worse in Dexterity , and continues to scale unremarkably with both Strength and Dexterity, even at maximum reinforcement, and when it is made into a refined weapon. Unlike its Dark Souls variant , it does not have magic damage or blessed damage. Reinforced with Titanite. Dark Souls Wiki Explore. Dark Souls.
Astoras straight sword
Straight sword of an unknown knight, likely one of Astora's superiors. Unique Upgrades are performed by any Blacksmith or by using the Weapon Smithbox. To reach max, you need: 10, souls and 10 Twinkling Titanite. I like to use this sword alongside the shield and the elite knight set. It's an okay weapon if you have experience with these games, and it becames strong if you get 40 on the required stats. If you go to max everything there's plenty of better options. Very nice early weapon, but a Divine Zweihander is more accessible without Master Key, and cleans out the catacombs with ease. Like the Drake Sword it is a noob trap. Destroys everything up to Capra but then falls off rapidly. Only use it 1. So unless you are straight sword addict picking Claymore or Bastard Sword and making it divine is much better option. Since basic damage of this sword looks a bit crappy it is usually considered as early weapon for faith characters divine longsword or any other similiar weapon performs much better for faith path.
But I just beat the game with this raw infused version and it was so much fun not spending every moment focused on what my strength was and how much damage I was dealing out, astoras straight sword. Requires regular reinforcement, totalling??
Skift sprog. Installer Steam. I know that a lot of people say Astora's Straight Sword is great early game but there are much better weapons later. Thing is I really like it.
Astora's Straight Sword is a straight sword in Dark Souls. In-Game Description. It is possible to grab the sword without waking up the Dragon by approaching it slowly from the side of the New Londo shortcut. It is a useful starting weapon for Faith builds as it can be acquired within minutes of arriving at the Firelink Shrine assuming the player has the Master Key. Astora's Straight Sword cannot be enchanted. It has only average scaling and will perform poorly in later stages of the game. Requires: Twinkling Titanite and 2, souls per upgrade. Sure, there's eventually going to be better Divine weapons out there, but this thing performed when I needed it to right out of the box, and it only cost me 1 DEX and some abundant, easily farmed upgrade materials. Ah, bookends. Join the Site! The scaling on it are subpar and are outclasses by the other SS. Fantasy Horror Dark Souls. Ah okay this is Anri's sword. Best when Hollow infused. Like the Occult Club. It's also okay hollowed, doing a slight hint more damage than a plain old longsword infused with hollow. My karma is too high. Side Quest. Not saying ASS is a bad weapon, but to get the ''most'' out of it requires some hefty stat investment, and it still doesn't do very impressive damage.

Really great for the catacombs in early game. Or is that not the best option? Add this one to the long list of senseless nerfs that Fromsoft has seen fit to inflict on this game. Requires regular reinforcement, totalling?? But, if you're running a low stamina caster, it's still a great sidearm due to the low Stamina usage. It's a lot easier to upgrade though. I don't recommend it unless you hate yourself. How do you cancel gravelording? So, low level builds, or builds specialized in non-damage stats, or just the sorcerer build made with pyromancer and just enough faith to use tears of denial, can all use it to diversify their damage types still. It's no match for it's brother in damage, Anri's Straight Sword, but still it has the lower stamina per swing advantage, thus giving it an added bonus to luck builds lacking in endurance
I congratulate, the excellent answer.
