Thursday, May 13th, PM. I would like an att representative to address my concerns. I am considering switching from cable internet to ATT fiber. Thanks… I was hoping to get ATT to respond. If this is the case I will stay with cable. You can be assured that they will confirm what I told you. Just curious as to why you don't want to use the "pseudo bridge mode". Bridge mode does not terminate traffic at the gateway while ip pass through does. Both provide similar functionality, ip passthrough limits functionality and performance. Think of it as putting a toll gate up at the entrance to a highway… that is similar to using ip passthrough. When a gateway router is placed in bridge mode it becomes a layer two device. When it is not like when using ip pass through it is a lay 3 device.

Is there any way to further simulate "bridge mode" to remove the double internal network hops? They are available 10am — 7pm Central, 7 days a week. Not att bridge mode what you're looking for?
