Among the links to pornographic sites on his blog include one for his own site, SpeedosNextDoor. Counter-argument: Mr Evans is asserting that the word Speedo has become a generic term. He says, however, he will not be attending as he doesn't own a tie and can't afford a lawyer. Mr Evans has registered various domain names with Speedo in them - many showing pornographic images. Lawyers for Speedo said the company wants to 'protect the substantial and valuable reputation and goodwill associated with the name and trademark Speedo' and is also seeking damages from Mr Evans.
