A new trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water has revealed plenty of aspects of the new movie, including a potential new romantic subplot that repeats an iconic scene from Avatar. Besides this, the new film promises to be a visual marvel and explore new areas of Pandora that were not featured in the first film. While not a lot is known about the story for Avatar 2 , the repeated scene from the first film gives hints at a romance brewing between two of the sequel's new characters. The scene that is repeated in the Avatar 2 trailer is taken from Jake and Neytiri's relationship in the first film. At the end of Avatar , Neytiri saves Jake's life by providing Jake with his exopack his breathing mask before Jake tells Neytiri "I see you". This line is repeated in Avatar: The Way of Water's second trailer , as it is shown to be very important to the Na'vi in the first film, especially in terms of romantic relationships. While it can mean a simple greeting, when said to a romantic partner it means that the couple see each other for who they truly are and love them for it. In the trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, one of the new character's of the Metkayina, Tsireya, says this line to Jake and Neytiri's son, Lo'ak, hinting at a romance between the two for the sequel. Not only does this line repeat the scene in question from Avatar , but it hints to the film repeating the entire forbidden love storyline from the first film also. In doing so, he falls in love with Neytiri despite only being an avatar and hiding his true intentions. The duo come from different tribes, meaning their love could be "forbidden" due to the differing tribes customs. Lo'ak states in the trailer that the only thing the Metkayina people see is an outsider, to which Tsireya repeats the iconic "I see you" line. It is likely that the Metkayina are wary of allowing their people to mix with the Omaticaya, especially with the Avatar 2 trailer revealing the chief is unconvinced about an alliance with Jake. If this is the case, then Lo'ak and Tsireya's love could be much like the romance between Lo'ak's parents was.

I know most of the cast went through free diving and scuba training which is very intimidating to me. Along with that, the freediving. We spent a lot of time underwater. Were you scared at all? This is a lot of work, especially doing most of this underwater. Bailey Bass: To be honest, in the audition process, we actually had to swim. They flew the last teen kids that they were auditioning out to LA, and I knew that I had to swim ahead of time.
