During our visit to Banarasi, we were impressed by the quality of the food. The spices were expertly balanced, and the flavours were authentic and delicious. The owners of the restaurant, who hail from India and Bangladesh, wanted to bring a fresh and authentic taste of Indian cuisine to Hull, and they have certainly succeeded in doing so. Their commitment to providing an authentic experience is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, from the decor to the food. The menu at Banarasi offers a range of dishes, including street food favourites and more traditional curries. We particularly enjoyed the Chicken 65, which was spicy and full of flavour, and the Dal Dum handi, which had a creamy and delicate sauce. The naan bread was fresh, crispy and fluffy, and the rice was perfectly cooked. The restaurant offers something unique and exciting, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Indian dining experience. With their excellent food, friendly service, and reasonable prices, we are already looking forward to our next visit. The Princes Avenue establishment is one of the city's most popular choices for authentic cuisine boasting reviews deeming the curry "the best I've had in a very long time" and "to die for". The restaurant boasted a lot of takeaway orders during the lockdown period and reopened indoor dining post lockdown again.
