Big reactors turbine

The Big Reactors mod adds multi-block power systems capable of providing large amounts of RF power to Minecraft. The specific arrangement and material of mod blocks in each multi-block structure determines the performance and behavior of the system as a whole. A power system can be built in one of two ways: a reactor can provide RF power directly, or a reactor can provide super-heated steam which is then pumped into a steam turbine to generate RF power. The latter option is much more expensive, but also much more efficient. Systems with several multi-block structures of nearly infinite size can be built. Big Reactors greatly benefits from the support of mods which provide transport and fluid pipes such as BuildCraft. It can also interface directly with ComputerCraft and RedNet. Reactors and turbines are multi-block structures made up of individual blocks arranged according to specific rules, which together create a large functional machine. Both reactors and turbines must be built as a closed, mostly hollow box with no holes and complete edges, including corners. The edges of this box can be, but not necessarily built from Reactor Casing or Turbine Housing blocks, and the faces of Reactor Glass or Turbine Glass blocks, respectively. In addition to these containment blocks, a number of other blocks are necessary to make a functioning reactor or turbine. None of these blocks can be placed on the edge or corner; they must be somewhere in the faces of the reactor, sometimes in very specific places. Right clicking on the reactor casing or turbine housing will display a message of what is missing. Important: Ensure that there aren't any metallic blocks within a 1 block radius of the turbine! Doing so results in unpredictable behavior with the turbine.

If you want to move the steam a fair distance I might suggest using a socket block with five fluid inputs and one output to supply the turbine, then using fluiduct to supply the socket, big reactors turbine. Start new topic.

So after spending quite a bit of time trying to figure out where in the heck induction coils were, then finally reading the post and seeing that it was just simple metal blocks, I finally attempted to get the turbine working.

Big Reactors is a mod which adds multi-block power systems capable of providing large amounts of RF power to Minecraft. The minimum size of a reactor is 3x3x3 blocks whereas the minimum size of a working turbine is 3x4x3. Systems with several multi-block structures of nearly arbitrary size can be built. Big Reactors greatly benefits from the support of mods which provide transport and fluid pipes such as BuildCraft. Reactors use fuel, and the mod provides Yellorium and Ingots for this purpose.

UnplayedNamer Posted February 18, Amount of Cyanite does not include that needed by fluid ports, controllers, power ports, etc. I'm partial to a 5x5x7 with 16 blocks of coil. Update: I've built a 5x5 turbine with the reactor directly adjacent to the turbine instead of pipes. Wiki Content. Using socket blocks with a fluid input on one side and a fluid output on the other was enough to transfer all the steam and because Engineer's does not implement viscosity it works for water too. The edges of this box must be either Reactor Casing or Turbine Housing , respectively. Ludicrite is now the best material. Any design which could consume more than that will cap at that limit, and should be considered theoretical. It could supply my reactor and any other machine needing water easily with more to spare.

That runs off a single max size Railcraft Boiler. An active reactor will use as many units of fuel as it can from access ports set to 'Inlet Mode' and dump waste into access ports set to 'Outlet Mode'. You must log in or register to reply here. You switched accounts on another tab or window. The core of the reactor is an arrangement of Yellorium Fuel Rods. Hidden category: Pages with broken file links. All reactors must have exactly one Reactor Controller block. Any fluid used as coolant must be manually added to the reactor during construction, exactly as you would with solid coolant materials. Posted 03 November - AM Here ya go. A higher bonus will also always produce more power.
