Restaurant Bird is very popular among both tourists and locals. Every day people are queuing up at the entrance of the restaurant, very willing to wait to get some authentic Thai food. Unfortunately this is inevitable because you can only make reservations from 10 persons and only from Sunday till Thursday. Some people may find this a drawback, but I think this is part of the Asian food experience. The best seats are at the window in the back because from there you have a really nice view on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal , the place to be in the Red Light District.
