Bite mascara

Earlier this year, Bite Beauty launched their very first eye makeup product — Upswing Full-Volume Mascara and after using it for a couple of months, bite mascara, I am now ready to share my verdict. Hey guys! Today I have a mascara review for you! Throwing out old mascaras gives me the perfect excuse to pick up a new one! This is a clean and vegan mascara. I prefer a mascara that has that nice balance of length and volume so it sounded right up my alley.

Bite mascara

The dark, soul piercing stare broken only by the soft beating of luscious eye lashes — that natural wing from the perfect curl fanning out towards the tips of perfectly manicured eyebrows. Lashes captivate us. Mascara, not so much. When Bite Beauty sent me one of their first types of Upswing full-volume mascara, I was skeptical to say the least. No doubt they are masters of lip scrubs , liners, glosses and lipsticks alike. Needless to say, it took me weeks before I even bothered to give it a try. The brush has a sort of hourglass shape, which made little sense to me at first. However upon applying the mascara, I found it to be quite useful in grabbing the ends of my lashes while I focused on the center connection of the brush. No clumps. No missed coverage. So how did it last throughout the day? I work an 8am-5pm, and aside from a couple minor wipes in the office bathroom, the mascara was fairly smudge free. A great mascara is hard to find, but Bite Upswing gets a 4. Thanks for spreading your wings and my lashes Bite Beauty.

The mascara wand has an hourglass shape and it is rather large, which makes it tricky to capture shorter lashes. Additionally, the tip of the wand is not tapered so excessive mascara collects around it, requiring me to wipe it off after every dip back into the tube. Personally, I am not a fan of the applicator as it's simply too clumsy and oversized for my small lashes. Certified "clean" at Sephora, the Upswing Full Volume Mascara is formulated with tree berry wax, which promises "buildable yet lightweight volume". The mascara has a fairly lightweight formulation that's lengthening and volumizing. However, I definitely noticed some clumping so I needed a clean spoolie to separate my lashes after application. The formulation is flake-resistant but not water-resistant so it will remove easily with a regular face wash.

I also sourced a few mascaras to test out myself during my daily makeup routine, with a focus on formulations that are clean and nonirritating and impart a more natural, everyday look. Meanwhile, if you want your mascara to be waterproof and smudgeproof , the presence of extra waxes and silicones will increase its water resistance, but they can also cause your lashes to dry out or shed.

It gives length and most importantly stays curled throughout the day. Was I ever wrong. Like Loading Texture: neither wet, nor dry. Coats every lash evenly and the tip does a great job at accessing both inner and outer corner lashes which, for me generally, can be tricky sometimes. PR samples; full disclaimer here.
