The Nightmare Frontier is a realm linked to the Nightmare, seemingly ruled by Amygdala. The area is strewn with graves and jagged rocks, in the distance only white mist and pillars can be seen. Though this area is full of tunnels, it is fairly linear and yet easy to get lost due to its vast cave system that rushes players along under a constant threat of Slow Poison , and occasionally Frenzy. Nightmare Frontier. Rocky Path : Nightmare Frontier features a number of highly poisonous swamps, so before proceeding it's recommended that you equip Attire that raises your Slow Poison resistance, and have a full complement of Antidotes. There's a Lamp right where you start, so use it to return to Hunter's Dream for supplies if needed. Most of the enemies here blend in very well with the environment, so you'll need to keep your eyes focused for the slightest bit of movement and listen out for the sounds of nearby enemies. Just outside the cave you start in you'll find a Wandering Nightmare near the edge of the cliff; this area has an extremely large number of these enemies so you can acquire a lot of Bloodstone Shards if you kill them all. Further along the path you'll encounter a Loran Silverbeast.

The corpse just before the narrow bridge that leads across Tombstone Swamp from Cliffside Ledges. When you arrive at the first small village in the woods with the spiked log trap at the entrance head left and go up the hill to a shack with a lighted lantern. If you walk onto the tip you will cause it to fall creating a bridge which connects to the beginning of the area. Start by going to the end of the tunnel straight ahead from the bridge and sneak up behind the Giant standing at the end; try to kill this enemy without causing it fall off, so that you don't have to contend with it after heading down to the swamp. Make sure to equip Antidotes as the swamp inflicts slow poison on you. Once their down theyre gone forever so if you die you don't need to invite anyone if you prefer to play solo. Mention that there's a lot of stone everywhere, though I don't know the specific name of these kinds of stone formations that form hills, and that a lot of white flowers grow everywhere. There are no Old Hunter Summons in this area. Broken Tombstone : There's a Wandering Nightmare in the middle of this location, so when you approach from the Cliffside Trail, try to run past it quickly to prevent it running over the edge. Thought it was interesting, but there's no info on them. Nightmare Frontier. To progress further, head left. To reach it, simply drop down onto the ledge from the path that runs above the cave. If you look far in the distance you can see the building from Nightmare of Mensis, and vice versa The corpse at the dead end of Swampy Gorge. You can also find a body with Student Attire , then exit through the opposite door. Keep in mind that at about half health, they'll discard their torch and drop to all fours, changing their moveset to be very similar to a normal scourge beast.
