The Ks are more agile, but less stable in turns and much less stable on the interstate behind semis.
But I will switch to the bmw for one reason. Bottom line both are quality dream bikes with tonnes of coveted qualities.

With the new Gold Wing, Honda expects sales of its flagship motorcycle to climb back to levels. Could it be the harbinger of a renaissance for luxurious, fully dressed touring bikes that go vroom-vroom instead of potato-potato-potato? I can say that after miles and two long days of flogging the shiny six-bangers in the mountains and deserts of Southern California, in temperatures ranging from 26 to 80 degrees and the dark of night to the high sun of midday, we are reminded just how good it can get in the saddle of a motorcycle.

Around the same time we got our first ride on the GTL and its sport-touring sibling, the K GT in South Africa, Honda unveiled the Gold Wing, featuring new bodywork, more luggage capacity, better handling, a redesigned cockpit and updated audio and navigation—a significant refresh but well short of an overhaul. Both have big, powerful six-cylinder engines with shaft final drive. Both offer levels of comfort and lists of features found on few motorcycles. But one weighs pounds more than the other. One offers superior wind protection, greater luggage capacity and more spacious seating, while the other offers superior engine performance, sharper handling and more sophistication. One has been steadily refined over its year model history, setting and resetting standards for smoothness, comfort and reliability; the other is an all-new model with a few teething issues. One can easily accommodate a trailer and has a well-developed aftermarket; the other, not so much.

I did notice the Wing has twice the alternator output over the BMW. She was more comfortable and had a better view as the Goldwing she could not see in front as my head obstructed her view. And I have experienced it already. The Gold Wing, on the other hand, is all-new for I find the same thing, riding one handed at mph, even on a bumpy road was effortless it was easier than riding the same road at 75 mph I have a K GTL The only thing it needs is a more supportive seat. I found that anything beyond a relaxed pace, hard parts started dragging. I now have 91, miles on bike. To me, when it comes to long-distance touring, comfort is the most crucial element and, in my opinion, this is where the Gold Wing has a slight, and I mean slight, edge over the Beemer. I rode to Alaska in on my LT and the longest stretch between gas was miles, which was fairly comfortable on the LT even though with the cold and road conditions, my mileage was down to 36 rather than its more normal Braking System. Heater, AC, no special clothing, no helmet hair,the thing holds lots of clothes, 17 gallons, gets 32 mpg! Sounds good, right? Front
