Seems like truth is factored in -very- heavily on boltor incarnon evolutions. Which is gas proc damage every 30 seconds or so. Boltor prime example, while telos boltor has a base damage of 30 vs prime's 46, boltor prime, both get evolutions that only increase damage by 2 or 4.

Prime weapons are basically the direct upgrades of their normal counterparts, usually with some kind of secondary mechanic to them. However, this is one of the more outdated Prime weapons of the bunch. It acts like a typical, standard issue gun in the game, just with that signature Prime, gold timing and a satisfying firing sound. Unfortunately, this build does seem to be out of the question for lower-leveled players due to the use of Galvanized Chamber and Galvanized Aptitude. The Boltor Prime, in this case, requires one of the newer Galvanized mods. Galvanized Aptitude is a staple for this build. The weapon was tested using the standard Simulacrum setup of max-leveled Corrupted Heavy Gunners.

So when I build a weapon it is my habit to build to its strengths and to try and do a task that I feel it will do well in. For the Boltor Prime I looked at it and I saw a damn good status weapon, and I built it to handle such. The Telos Boltor is a pretty clear critical weapon. I also tend to build around their starting Polarities whenever I feel it will do best, in both cases they start with and polarities. One each. So that is why Primed Cryo Rounds got onto both. So since Telos Boltor was what I got first, I am fairly familiar with it. In fact the normal Boltor was one of my favourite early weapons and finding out there was a stronger variant was exciting for me, the Telos Boltor is one of my favourite weapons and these days the one I pull out the most. I looked at it, saw it was a damn good critical weapon so I added on Hunter Munitions and made it a viral weapon, which is an insanely powerful combo against all factions and enemy types regardless of armour, shields, or lack of either. The Boltor Prime is the prime variant of the Boltor with a direct upgrade to the overall performance of the original but still carries with it the standard features of the original. This weapon fires bolt like projectiles which makes it feel like a cross of an assault rifle and a nail gun which can pin enemies to walls and other surfaces. The Boltor Prime has stats improved far off from the original Boltor and is capable of dealing even more damage over time due to its high status chance.
