On March 17th, , Borba uploaded the first comic in the series to DeviantArt, in which the anthropomorphic rabbit character Judy Hopps discovers she is with child after using a home pregnancy test shown below. Over the next two months, Borba released an additional 24 pages of the comic on DeviantArt, in which Hopps and the anthropomorphic fox Nick Wilde argue over whether they will keep the baby, with Hopps expressing concerns over the safety of an interspecies birth as well as the effect pregnancy would have on her career. Wilde, argues in favor of keeping the baby, leading to a dramatic break up between the two characters.
