Three Brampton men have been charged in connection with the theft of butter — and more than just a stick or two. Guelph police were called to a grocery store in the south end of the city just before 4 p. Officers responded, checking nearby parking lots before finding the suspect vehicle outside of another grocery store nearby. Two men inside the vehicle were arrested, as was a third man who exited the store and approached the officers. Police say an eyewitness said the third man had abandoned a cart just outside the store, which police allege contained more stolen butter. One of the men was also charged with obstructing police. All have since been released with upcoming court dates.
