This is my favourite item from Breadtalk, and probably the only thing I'll buy from there. The vanilla chiffon cake sandwiches a perfect egg and melted cheddar, making this sweet yet savoury. It's great as a snack, but you'll probably need two of this for a heartier meal. The white version is filled with Taiwanese yam chunks amongst the yam paste, while the purple version contains a wine-soaked longan and purple-coloured yam paste. Generally, I don't like the powdery top for both as they tasted 'extra' and masked the flavour of the yam, when the amount of yam isn't generous to start with. In all honesty, Breadtalk has long been a disappointment because they always price their products so highly when the quality and quantity isn't even there. Neh-mind, I buy Sakura bread instead. Pretty Yummay!!! Simple and easy to have on the go. Unlike the normal size croissant, this is less taxing on the stomach.
