At the end of last year, she briefly broke out of her comfort zone when Remi gave her an exhilarating ride on his motorbike, and while she was initially terrified, she soon embraced the experience. Remi had initially planned to go with her, until she revealed that she could be away for months. Considering Remi has always known how Bree feels about motorbikes, combined with the fact that he did nearly die falling off one just a few months ago, the option should be an easy one. However, pictures which emerged from the set of Home and Away late last year suggest otherwise. A fan of the show who watched filming at Palm Beach saw Juliet Godwin, who plays Bree, kissing the new actor, suggesting a new romance for the Summer Bay doctor is just around the corner. When Remi and Bree pull up to the house later that day, Bree is astounded by the palatial pad. Remi and Bree glam themselves up for the evening as a string quartet welcomes the distinguished guests. Naturally Graham and Nicola are keen to learn about how Remi and Bree met, and Remi is stunned when Bree comes straight out and says that she was still with her husband Jacob at the time. Once alone, Bree is annoyed at Remi for not telling his parents about the circumstances of their getting together, feeling that he wants to hide the truth out of embarrassment.

Bree explains that she'd like to follow in the footsteps of her new colleague Levi Fowler by volunteering for Doctors Without Borders, but she invites Remi to come with her. She treated Remi for concussion after he was robbed and, when he wondered why she always kept him at arms length, revealed she was married: She had been with her husband Jacob since high school and he spent a lot of time working away as an engineer in the mines.
