Have you ever seen a coffeeshop inside a former police station? You can try our products in the same place where for years the Amsterdam police put people behind bars. Even Henk de Vries himself has spent the night here after yet another police raid. Luckily our experienced staff are a lot more welcoming than the previous owners. Henk wanted to play a prank on the authorities and shock them by setting up a coffeeshop in the former police headquarters. Take a look at the walls to see how many in famous gangsters you can recognize and take a picture with our mannequin dressed up in an old police uniform. Once you sit behind bars on the old cell benches or our iconic cow-leather seats, the coffeeshop feels like a living room rather than a police station. No longer a place of frustration and boredom, but one of relaxation and cheer! This famous square is full of entertainment and should always be on your to-do list for Amsterdam.
