Description This patented cable driven timepiece wall clock movement has a tremendously fine fusee track, and massive spring, to give it a full year's duration. It was made in Germany by Carl Werner at the end of the 19th century, and was originally retailed by Marcks and Co. The mahogany veneered case has a top-hinged wide dial surround, fitted with a brass bezel and glass. There is a door at the bottom for access to the pendulum. The 15 inch white painted dial is original, painted with Roman numerals and signed for Marcks and Co. The matching intricate hands are painted black.
