After a long hesitation i've finally decided to try one of Ark's "easiest" caves, not just to visit, it was so that i can get a decent amount of Chitin because i needed some,. And honestly i wasn't expecting it to be that difficult, groups of spiders and scorpions coming at me every single step, i havent died once but it was hard to fight with,. I haven't even reached the nearest Artifact that i already wanted to go back to the surface, while returning at the surface i met again some spiders, one of my tames got its torpor very high so he went unconscious, i was feeding it stimulants until he woke up and then decided to finally reach the surface. TIPS: if you're a low level player who's equiped with a metal hatchet or something, don't even try to enter the cave, instant die lol. Anyways not to mention that i'm Level 61, and this was meant to be the "easiest cave" lol, then i wonder how others caves are. At the end i left the cave with chitin on my inventory, which is good. Will the difficulty of the caves reduce? Cave you mention is very easy IMO wrong weapon to bring.. To Esolite, I feel your pain. I only managed to do that cave and after that I thought that if that was supposed to be easy than I had no chances with the others Anyway, here is what I did: I bred and imprinted a decent saber, brought around stimulants just to be safe, a pump shotgun, three swords and two sets of flak armor with some high tier pieces, around total. Also, I studied the layout beforehand and went straight for the artifact. I hope this helps.

There are three bosses to tackle, with at least three Artifacts needed for each, and getting the loot is not an easy task with a plethora of enemies and environmental threats to tackle. Note that the Hard Caves spawn creatures at extremely high levels often exceeding , and that these creatures are untameable. Creatures within The Caverns of Lost Faith are also untameable, but spawn at standard levels. Note that Achatina spawn as high-levelled varients, similar to the creatures found within The Island's Swamp and Snow caves. Unlike The Island however, these Achatina are tameable.

Lower South Cave. Onyc can be particularly pesky to deal with, as they have a chance of infecting the player with deadly Mega Rabies, which can only be cured by consuming a Lesser Antidote. The Northern Ice Cave is a stunning, cold cave protected by an underwater entrance.

The Frozen Fortress Fjordur. To find the artifact here simply take the left route all the way though. I do recommend mindwiping and putting alot of points into health and movement speed.
