Having been a Caxton customer for a long time, I was very happy initially with the service. They had very competitive rates and everything was straight forward and not a single problem. Something changes in recent years and slowly problems have crept in and more often. The card has become too sensitive and blocks very easily. Its good they take security seriously but to the point you can't use it.

Mr Caxton - not impressed….

Caxton was founded in and is a leading provider of prepaid currency cards. Their low fees and good exchange rates make their cards some of the best on the market. It's very long winded but to cut a long story short. Caxton is superior. Great rates, easy to use, check ATM before withdrawing and you are good to go. We've been using the Caxton prepaid card, for euros only, for over ten years and have never had a single issue with it. I took this up with Caxton and we resolved it.

I recently received one of the worst customer services experiences with the representative becoming aggressive, unsympathetic and accusatory. I was able to use the card just like an ordinary debit card in several restaurants and shops in Pokhara and Kathmandhu. They had very competitive rates and everything was straight forward and not a single problem. It is really hard to get a response to emails and phone calls. I was nervous about relying on the card having read such negative reviews, but I can say that the card did not let me down once and I was thoroughly impressed.
