Established in , Anglican Church Grammar School, known internationally as Churchie, has as its central mission the making of men: to nurture and inspire men of character who will lead and serve in communities across the world for the common good. Boarding has been an integral part of the Churchie community since the School settled in East Brisbane in The School enjoys the support that parents provide, many of whom have been with Churchie for generations. At Churchie we seek to establish a strong partnership with you to develop your sons into outstanding young men who will lead and serve their communities. Boarding at Churchie is for students enrolled in Years 7 to Boarding students come from across Australian metropolitan and rural areas and overseas destinations including Hong Kong, Singapore and Papua New Guinea. Churchie Boarding offers students very secure and comfortable accommodation in our two main, air-conditioned and recently refurbished boarding houses, Gerald and Goodwin. Boarders are cared for by friendly, supportive and experienced staff, including a Housemaster, Assistant Housemaster, Resident Housemother and Resident Supervisor. This key team of four colleagues form the pastoral care team for each house, and they get to know and understand the boys very well. Our boarding staff encourage and arrange opportunities for boarders to experience the many and varied cultural activities in and around Brisbane. Visits and excursions to the cultural complex, theatres, cinemas, sporting events and theme parks all feature in a vibrant recreational and cultural program. Remember me.

Founded in by Canon William Perry French Morris , [1] Churchie has a non-selective enrolment policy and currently caters for approximately 1, students from Reception to Year 12, [2] including boarders from Years 7 to Churchie, widely recognised as one of Brisbane's most prestigious schools, [13] is among Australia's richest based on earnings and donations from alumni. In , Canon William Perry French Morris and his wife who held degrees in science and medicine founded a school called St Magnus Hall at Ardencraig, a suburban house in Church Street now Jephson Street , Toowong , [17] before relocating it to the present site in East Brisbane in Canon Morris assigned Saint Magnus , a Norsemen earl, as the patron saint of the school and had hoped that the students would be referred to as 'Magnates'.
