Brilliant basic fish and chips, cod squad fish & chips. The batter is excellent, and fish cooked to near juicy perfection. The finish on the fish was good enough to make the cod as good as the halibut in comparison. We coleslaw was peppery and light, which was a nice change from the usual tangy and tart I've had at most places.

Excellent fish. Open the batter and it is full of fish. Take out was ready in minutes. I am going back to try the oysters. I gave 4 stars only because of the lack of beer on the beverage menu. A very enjoyable meal. Excellent service. Staff were friendly and the food came out quick. Food however was average, with the cheese toast being a complete disappointment. Ordered: Jalepeno popcorn shrimp 2 Burgers with fries Cheese toast Other reviews rate the fish and chips as being excellent so might have to give them another try. Some crispy fish and a bright restaurant! WOW - We've been waiting for a long time for a really good fish and chipper to come to Nanaimo and the wait is finally over. I think that someone must have forgotten their medication or had too much with their Feb 3 post of the "horrible food or service".
