It is technically the closest coffeeshop to the train station, sitting just to the southeast of the main entrance. If you have just entered Amsterdam here and are heading south towards the Nieuwmarkt New Market area, it will likely be the first shop you come across. This is a small coffeeshop. Even so, they make good use of the space. Central has gray tile floors, wainscot walls, and large hand-drawn murals. There are a handful of leather stools and some small tables as well, and a long wooden counter that runs along the front window. Though an interesting atmosphere, few people actually hang out here. Central is mainly a take-and-go establishment. Over the years this coffeeshop has gained a reputation for quality cannabis, and reasonable prices. The shop does not operate with a lot of frills. Their business has been distilled down to the essence of what is needed Further, they open early, and close late. It is indeed a place of convenience, especially for cannabis-smoking travelers heading in and out of the city.

Tourists can still go to coffeeshops in Amsterdam, order, and even smoke inside. Cosy environment and a nice place to stop while making a zoot.

The prices seem good but 3 out of the 5 times I went there I found rubbish at the bottom of the bag. Twigs and leaves and bits of different weed.
