The tour began at Costa Rica's Estadio Nacional on 18 March and Coldplay were met with widespread acclaim from music critics, who praised their stage presence, joyful performance and production value, while also describing the shows as triumphant, immersive and intimate. Counting upcoming performances, admission sales have surpassed nine million units, the most in history for a single tour.
