Comicstaan Season 1 is an Indian stand-up comedy competition series created by the content production house Only Much Louder. They are mentored and judged by a panel of experienced performers throughout the season, who decide their fate in the end. The one-of-a-kind reality show features an aspiring array of comic talents hailing from different parts of India. The contestants take part in a series of challenges, performing comedic acts of different categories, including anecdotal and observational, in a bid to score the most points. The season ends with a grand finale that features the top five participants of the term, in the conclusion of which, the top performer is crowned as the champion. The reality comedy series introduces its viewers to budding new Indian comedians, with a panel of judges determining their merit. Meanwhile, Abish Mathew and Sumukhi Suresh feature on the show as its hosts.
