This quest will start automatically after the Kaer Morhen tutorial, which actually turned out to be Geralt's dream. You and Vesemir travel together to find Yennefer. When you're going to continue your journey after a night's rest, a few ghouls suddenly attack you. Yennefer had contacted Geralt - finally. They had not seen each other in years. And then she'd sent him a letter, smelling of lilac and gooseberries, of course, asking him to meet her in the village of Willoughby.

The contract appears only after Master Armorers reaches the phase where acid is required to forge an armor, which archgriffins spit. It will appear on Crow's Perch 's notice board as soon as the high-quality smithing tools are delivered to Fergus. Unlike other contracts there is no haggling and the target is not really a boss, but you do get a trophy and mutagen for it like the rest. Now keep going uphill to find the beast, prepare yourself with hybrid oil and whatnot, then deal with it. After it's dead take the archgriffin trophy and acid gland for Yoana , then go back to the quartermaster to claim your reward: 25 and Diagram: Tracker's trousers if you don't already have it. You need to pick up the notice Griffin in the Highlands on the notice board of Crow's Perch to start the quest.

Lilac and Gooseberries is the second main quest and the first following the tutorial quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Geralt and Vesemir continue to follow Yennefer 's trail, obtaining news on her whereabouts from a Nilfgaardian captain in return for completing a contract on a griffin that has been terrorizing the locals. Upon waking from his dream of Yennefer and Ciri at Kaer Morhen , Geralt has a short conversation with Vesemir about the dream and on how to proceed searching for Yennefer. When Geralt and Vesemir break camp they are immediately attacked by a pack of ghouls , so take care of them with the silver sword. Note: at this point you are free to explore an open world.

You can find this contract on the Crow's Perch Notice Board but only after you bring Yoana the tools from Undvik, which is an objective of the " Master Armorers " quest. If you don't take the contract from the notice board, this quest will appear in your journal when you kill the Archgriffin. A true master armorer is a rare bird indeed, so we can honestly speak of delight sparking in Geralt's heart when he first met Yoana. Yet before she could forge him new armor, she was in need of some assistance. The witcher would have to hunt down an archgriffin and extract from it some ingredients required for the forging of the finest armors. His nest and the Archgriffin 26 itself can be found on a nearby hill. Kill him and take the Archgriffin trophy.

Before you can go any further, you must kill all the ghouls attacking you. You and Vesemir travel together to find Yennefer. Selecting the option to take on just one person will cause the other two to not join the fight until after the first is defeated. By talking to Vesemir, a cutscene will lead to a group of bandits ambushing Geralt and Vesemir inside the inn. Mount your horse and follow the road to the White Orchard Tavern. It acts as a sub-quest to Lilac and Gooseberries as it must be completed before the player can continue that quest. Geralt and Vesemir must complete a contract to rid the village of White Orchard of a griffin in order to obtain information about Yennefer 's whereabouts. While the quest objectives indicate that you must ask the relevant individuals for help locating Geralt's intended goal this is not actually the case.

Geralt may either accept the 50 reward or refuse, in which case the innkeeper at White Orchard will provide him with some free roasted chicken legs. Contract: Phantom of the Trade Route.
