The second season of Fear the Walking Dead , an American horror-drama television series on AMC , premiered on April 10, , and concluded on October 2, , consisting of fifteen episodes. The series is a companion series and prequel to The Walking Dead , [1] which is based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore , and Charlie Adlard. This season follows the group as they escape land for the sea, and their eventual journey to Mexico. The second season features nine actors receiving main cast billing status, with seven returning from the first season; eight are listed as main cast members in the first season, while one new cast member is introduced. Colman Domingo was promoted from recurring status and Michelle Ang was added to the main cast as Alex, however she only appears in two episodes.

However, unbeknownst to Connor, Reed has turned into a walker which Connor is shown to be shocked and saddened by. He ends up being bitten by the zombified Reed. Barely anything is known about his life prior to or as the outbreak began, except that he was born in and had a father and a brother named Reed. Reed mentioned how Connor snapped their father's Achilles' tendon after refusing to withstand any more of his abuse. Judging by the conversation he had with Alicia Clark , he worked as a cook at the dry dock he and his crew now use as a base. Connor is contacted by Reed after he is able to hijack The Abigail.

We saw the return of Alex; we saw Alicia hoodwink Jack and escape from Connor along with Travis; and we saw a fairly clever attempt at a prisoner exchange. Unfortunately, the episode was poorly executed, riddled with bad decisions, and frustratingly lacking in logic. I suspect, however, that the series had to pull some punches in the episode, so to speak, to keep the Connor storyline alive until the midseason finale. A good beard changes everything.
