In the aftermath of the Gods of Destruction's Tournament , the Dragon Team venture to the Potaufeu , where they soon encounter and are embroiled in a battle with Duplicate Vegeta. At Beerus' planet, Whis is having a conversation with Bulma via his staff, who is inviting him and Beerus to a party on Earth celebrating Universe 7's victory in the tournament. While Beerus and Whis are excited over the variety of foods that will be present, Bulma tells them to arrive at noon the next day, and to invite Monaka, as he was also a part of the team. After Bulma hangs up, Beerus discusses with Whis about Monaka, saying that if Goku sees him, he will constantly insist on fighting him. Whis suggests that Beerus finally admits that Monaka is an amateur, however Beerus reminds him that his role is to motivate Goku and Vegeta, and that due to his status as a god, his authority would be diminished if anyone found out he lied. Beerus came up with an excuse not to bring Monaka to the party, saying that Monaka was busy was work.

Stepping into the narrative right after the high stakes of the Universe 6 saga, the Copy-Vegeta saga presents a different kind of challenge for our heroes. This story arc might not bring the fate of an entire universe into play, but it offers a fascinating exploration of identity, power, and the struggle against one's own self. This saga is initiated by a seemingly harmless accident when Goten and Trunks unwittingly journey to the planet Potaufeu. There, they encounter a criminal gang on the hunt for a mysterious entity known as the Superhuman Water. The situation quickly escalates as Vegeta, who comes to retrieve the two boys, becomes entangled in a predicament resulting in the creation of an exact duplicate of himself. The Superhuman Water, also known as Commeson, presents a unique enemy. It's not a physical being or a universal force, but a unique liquid substance capable of copying the power, abilities, and even the spirit of those it comes in contact with. When Vegeta becomes its latest target, we witness the creation of Copy-Vegeta, an exact replicate of the Saiyan prince boasting the same immense power and ruthless determination. What sets the Superhuman Water apart is its ability to retain the powers of the beings it has copied. This trait adds a sense of intrigue and danger, making it a foe that cannot be taken lightly.

Dragon Ball Super episode 45 aired this week and it is still set on the Planet Potaufeu which is where Goten and Trunks are. Vegeta had to go and save them, but he got in a bit of trouble himself. Now the Z fighters are in trouble because this purple copy Vegeta is as tough as it can be. Since Vegeta cannot fight, all of them have to retreat and somehow form a plan of attack. They have never really faced anything like this before apart from maybe Buu. We find out from the old man that the purple ooze devoured Grill and his alien men so now all of the purple copies are running wild. If the purple copies live long enough, the original bodies fade from existence. Pretty much the real Vegeta only has a few more minutes to live.

While Goku plays with Pan, she calls her papa, and Goku tries to correct her, saying he is Gramps. Goku is able to sense it too, along with Vegeta's power, and realizes that the two are fighting. Vegeta then asks what happens to the victims of Commeson, and Potage answers that they die, with their body disappearing within 3 to 5 minutes of being absorbed. Beerus wonders if he should go through with it, as Goku finishes the sit-ups. Chi-Chi asks Gohan about his job offer, and Gohan reveals he turned it down, otherwise he would not have time to be at home with his wife and child. Trunks asks if there is another way to save Vegeta, as the fight could get very violent, and Potage suggests that the core of Commeson should be crushed, so its copies can become weaker. On Planet Potaufeu, Trunks and Goten, carrying Potage and Monaka, are seen flying and dodging attacks from Gryll and his henchmen, who are now purple in color. Duplicate Vegeta uses the form when in combat against Goku. At Cloned Gryll's orders, Duplicate Vegeta then attempted to absorb Trunks, but not before hesitating, which the original Vegeta noticed. Vegeta tells Duplicate Vegeta to defeat Goku quickly, then tells Goku not to lose, leading them both to question whose side Vegeta is on. This was demonstrated when Duplicate Vegeta was confronted by Goku and shared the true Vegeta's desire to fight Goku to the death, enough to where he ignored orders to absorb Goku's power, wanting to fight Goku head-to-head.

After the end of the Universe 6 Tournament, our heroes continue on with their lives and misadventures. However while Monaka is doing his deliveries, Goten and Trunks accidentally stow away on his ship and wind up on a planet named Potaufeu which is being attacked by a criminal after a superhuman water which is being guarded by a sole inhabitant named Potage.

He then teleports to the top of Korin Tower, realizing he really is sick. Big Bang Mission!!! Pan, remembering Goku's words, is excited to be able to be in the sky and looking at the stars. Bulma tells the two to take the fight elsewhere to avoid causing damage to the party. When Duplicate Gryll tries to forcefully control Duplicate Vegeta, the original Vegeta's trait of hating being controlled surfaced, which caused Duplicate Vegeta to overcome the control and knock Duplicate Gryll away with a strong punch, defeating him. Vegeta's Demise?! Monaka says he has another delivery to make, and Bulma tells him it will not take long, and directs Monaka, who is using the funnel to fill a giant beaker with an unknown, blue liquid. Back on Earth, Videl is holding Pan, who is chewing on a pacifier, saying that she will soon move past them. Until then, Goku must limit his use of Ki, or he cannot grow any stronger. Trunks remembers that the main body was Duplicate Gryll, whom Duplicate Vegeta defeated earlier. Chi-Chi asks Gohan about his job offer, and Gohan reveals he turned it down, otherwise he would not have time to be at home with his wife and child. Goten and Trunks are flying back to Capsule Corporation, noticing Monaka's delivery truck parked out front, also noticing the back compartment doors were wide open. While he is eating, he says he misses King Kai's food, despite it "tasting okay". Fortunately, Goku comes to a belief that Monaka has the ability to split himself into two and praises him for doing so. Dragon Ball Heroes.
