Two fatal traffic accidents in Perth's southern suburbs caused traffic chaos on Wednesday night with the Kwinana Freeway closed until midnight. The Holden then collided with a a Harley Davidson, killing the year-old rider. As peak hour began, all Kwinana Freeway northbound lanes were closed from Leach Highway to Mill Point Road and a Main Roads spokesperson confirmed they were not fully reopened until midnight. The second fatal crash happened on Leach Highway at about 6. A year-old man died in the crash and the highway was not reopened until after 9pm. Natalie Cloud said she was stuck in the traffic for two hours before turning off at Canning Highway. Motorist Malcolm told 6PR he was stranded on the Freeway until 9pm. Richard Buczak said he was lucky enough to get out by driving up the bus ramp at Canning Highway.

Traffic mayhem on the Kwinana Freeway caused by a delay in roadworks took a tragic turn today. Earlier this morning, southern suburbs drivers commuters were greeted by a line of traffic stretching from Canning Highway to Rowley Road, 20km long.
