The regular Crucible Knight will be armed with a pronged spear, while Ordovis will be armed with his signature greatsword that has a unique special attack skill. Even if you've had practice dealing with one before, taking on two at once is nothing short of a pain due to the impossible reach of their weapons and hyper-aggressive attacking. For this reason, it is highly recommended that you bring in your most durable spirit summons to run interference - either grab both knights' attention long enough for you to get in major sweeping damage from behind, or try to blast down one of the knights while your summons holds their own against the second. Elden Ring is host to tons of enemies with many different styles from combat to armor. Players have found ways to customize their characters and become the very enemies that plague the world. Some of these enemies have abilities that are mimicked by some arts of war that give players the chance to do them too sometimes to a greater extent. The abilities even pass down through items, which is seen by the Reduvia Dagger. However one enemy in Elden Ring sets itself apart by having some great defensive and offensive weapons, this enemy also gives incantations that work well with said weapons. On top of that, the same incantations can be powered up by wearing the armor these enemies brandish with subtle differences. Don't be afraid to come back when you're weapon has been upgraded a lot more - if you're barely able to make a dent in their health, the fight will be that much harder. The Crucible Knight may look slow, but they are relentless, and will constantly charge at you with surprisingly long-reaching swipes and thrusts. Because of this, you'll always want to wait until the knight has committed to an attack before dodging to attack yourself, or getting away to heal - as the Crucible Knight will often lunge forward to strike you when you try to heal or cast. A fairly safe way for any class to defeat the Crucible Knight is getting just close enough to bait him into dropping his shield. Always wait for the knight to attack first, dodge the incoming strike or combo attack, and then retaliate with one more attacks of your own depending on how fast your weapon or spell is.

Their imposing stance and magnificent armor intimidate enemies from far away, and fighting a Crucible Knight one-on-one is easily one of Elden Ring 's toughest miniboss fights. Midway through the game, though, players can find a boss room containing two. The bosses must be fought at the same time, unlike the Spiritcaller Snail Godskin Duo that appears outside of Farum Azula. The Lesser Crucible Knight is not the worst enemy in the world and can be taken out relatively easily. The Crucible Knight will grow an ethereal tail and slash you with it. Usually with one enemy or two relatively low health enemies , the long wind-ups and period of vulnerability after weren't too terrible - the damage easily made up for that. It was a total disappointment. Most builds will have to rely on dodging and managing their distance to beat the Crucible Knight, although melee builds will have a slightly easier time for this fight. For this attack, Siluria will dig the tip of his spear into the ground and yank it out, causing chunks of rock to launch at you. You don't need to parry to beat anything in this game. By keeping one knight close and second knight few meters away, only one will attack at a time. For those looking to slay one of Elden Ring's tougher early-game bosses, bring a good weapon and shield.
