I just got my Zenfone 10 and have only used it for a day. But a couple of apps won't work with error message "SafetyNet failure". Go to Solution. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with anything. But someone on Reddit registered something on a Google page And a couple of hours later the CTS error went away for both of us. View solution in original post. After trying a couple of times it worked fine, and certainly after a reboot it hasn't cropped up again. Great will try this when on a machine I can use adb on. I haven't had issues since but maybe Google just didn't definitively know the Zenfone's compliance until the other user did that? Seems like it. I actually have no idea. But at least now there is another answer then "root your device and use Magisk" Which was the only answer I previously found.

The only thing not being stock is that my bootloader's unlocked. The reason could be the unlocked bootloader. I've had my bootloader unlocked for over a year now and I've never had problems because of it so I would be very surprised if that helped. Are you can root the phone by installing magisk. And use magisk manager to hide root for those apps you are seeking to run. Yeah you basically if you have unlocked the bootloader, you HAVE to root your phone with Magisk and hide Google Pay from root to make it work A bit silly
