The event held its national launch recently and were delighted to welcome Avril and William R Gubbins back to Offaly, where they have enjoyed many successes in the livestock categories over many years. The Limerick family's herd consists of commercial and pedigree Stock under the name of Cush Herd. Enjoying many success stories at Tullamore Show, the Gubbins family won Supreme Champion in on their first visit to the event, and again in and The national launch in Butterfield Estate was also attended by representatives of FBD, who have enjoyed a successful alliance with the event over many years. We look forward to seeing you all in Tullamore in August. He also thanked the Gubbins family for their continuous support of Tullamore Show in many ways, and he looks forward to seeing the Cush Herd in the showing ring this August. The Pedigree section is delighted to host the national show for Simmental, Charolais, Limousin and Hereford. There are over 12 breeds of Pedigree Cattle competing for the ever sough after gold and silver medals. The show programme offers competitions in equine, cookery, poultry, art, and inventions and many more. The trade spaces are in high demand and filling up fast.

All cattle, sheep and goats exhibited at shows must be recorded in the NLIS database. This ensures exhibitors and shows comply with the Stock Diseases Regulation and that animals which have been to a show or sporting event are traceable. Shows are a biosecurity risk because animals from different properties come together and then disperse again. The new Biosecurity NLIS Regulation will come into effect by June and will require that show organisers record livestock attendance at shows.
