The look suggests that Cassandra Nova's look in the upcoming sequel will be a comics accurate take on the original Marvel Comics character. Introducing Nova as their leader might make sense, but her astral powers could suggest that she represents an even bigger threat to the multiverse's new timeline established in Loki season 2's ending. The bald-headed, hugely powerful Marvel villain, who boasts psychic and telekinetic abilities , is a "Mummudrai," a species of parasites that embody the exact opposite of their "twin", appearing in-utero before birth. Nova is introduced in Marvel Comics as the "twin" of the unborn Charles Xavier - hence the bald look - copying his DNA and creating its own host body. While not a true biological twin, Nova is essentially an exact copy of Xavier, and managed to survive his immediate attempt to kill her, eventually manifesting a new host body. Her ultimate goal was killing Charles Xavier, believing that to be the key to mastering the universe, and her first major storyline saw her manipulating Donald Trask III to commit a genocide on Genosha that wiped out 16 million mutants. Not only that, but she arguably surpasses his powers, as her astral origin allowed her to also possess all of the powers Professor X could have had and any potential future powers he might gain.

The film also makes use of the MCU's multiverse, which includes bringing in other names from the X-Men world. One particular shot in the trailer reveals the back of a mystery character , who's shown to be bald and wearing a jacket with the collar pulled up. That just so happens to be the look of Cassandra Nova , an X-Men supervillain. Beyond this quick shot in the trailer, there's no confirmation that this character is indeed Cassandra Nova. If so, however, the supervillain is most likely being portrayed by Emma Corrin. It's been known that Corrin had been cast to play a key villain role in the movie, but the part has ever since been kept under lock and key. At one point, they were rumored to play Danger, but that was debunked. Fans will have to wait for further confirmation to be sure, but the subtle tease may be a sign that the movie's primary antagonist will be revealed to be Corrin's Cassandra Nova. There will be established X-Men characters from previous movies appearing in the film as well. The new trailer also revealed a first look at the return of Aaron Stanford's Pyro , marking the first time that incarnation of the character had been seen since X-Men: The Last Stand in These are just the appearances that were teased in the trailer, and chances are, there will be other major X-Men surprises in store for fans when they watch the movie.

From perennial C-Listers to Omega-Level threats, Deadpool has faced off against an impressive array of Marvel's most dastardly, and some have stood out more than others. Deadpool fans have been excited to know that the Merc with a Mouth was coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the third movie with Ryan Reynolds in the role. However, things got even more exciting when Reynolds released a teaser that showed him inviting Hugh Jackman to return as Wolverine for the next movie.
