Before I created this fix, I'd been known to stuff anything I could find between my skin and the seat belt. I'm sure I looked pretty cool driving down the road with napkins hanging out all over! My kids would just give up all together and throw the seat belt behind their backs.
Be sure the car is no longer in use, since seat belts are the law. I think this step may void any seat belt warranty, so proceed with caution.

This project takes in the range of hours. Get one from this website. They're cheap. The ends that attach into the car, are not useful when it comes to making a belt.

This is a really helpful DIY. Battery Jumper. It fixed mine so I figured I'd share Oh, and it's your responsibility for anything that may happen as a result of attempting this fix. Make sure the shoulder strap rests against the child's chest and that the lower belt rests on the tops of their thighs. Then, bring it across the child's body and fasten it.
