Don Oso's Restaurant , which launched in the fall of on Hastings in Burnaby, has followed up its debut spot with another outpost already and is up and running with Mexican comfort eats, brunch, and happy hour specials in the former Storm Crow Tavern at Commercial Drive. Storm Crow vacated the property in spring after about eight years in business there; the "nerd bar" just wrapped up operations in January at its second Vancouver venue, Storm Crow Alehouse, on Broadway. In the meanwhile, Don Oso's is infusing The Drive with its Mexican fare, like tacos, chimichangas, fajitas, burritos, and sandwiches. The restaurant was among the first in Metro Vancouver to put quesabirria tacos on the menu , those saucy, meaty, trendy tacos served with a beef broth for dipping.
