The NFL Draft has concluded which means only one thing -- draft grades are here. Below you will find the full draft classes for all 32 teams with individual grades, analysis for every class and a draft grades overall grade, draft grades. This is my seminal analysis every year.
Immediate draft grades provide a foundation for future evaluations. Waiting three years to assess draft classes without accounting for how the decision was viewed at the time usually leads to revisionist history. Trades , and the capital exchanged both picks and players , are factored into these grades, as well, as they also play a significant part in determining the future of a franchise. NOTE: Selections and trades in the early rounds carry a heavier weight in the overall grade than those in the later rounds. Day 1 grade: A. Day 2 grade: A. Analysis: Arizona moved down three spots in the first round, essentially netting a first-round pick and still picking the athletic, versatile Johnson to bolster the line.
Draft grades
Why provide instant grades on the selections of prospects who have yet to take an NFL snap? Well, you're reading this, aren't you? Considering the makeup of every roster and the factors surrounding each pick, Eric Edholm ranks the draft classes, Keep in mind that these grades are based on draft hauls alone -- picks traded for veteran players were not taken into account. The rich got richer, for sure. But the thing with the Jalen Carter pick -- the centerpiece of a strong draft class, but a prospect with well-documented character concerns -- is that the Eagles built the perfect environment in which he can thrive. Had he gone to another team in the top 15 or 20 picks, I wouldn't have liked it nearly as much. But scooping him up at the bottom of Round 1 and knowing he doesn't have to be a snaps-per-game player immediately ups the appeal a notch or two.

The rookie class has seen its fair share of stars already make their names known across the NFL. Ten weeks of football have provided a clear window to evaluate each team's freshest faces from April's draft and a few scattered undrafted free agents. The criteria for a high grade is simple: Production, rotational depth, value and impact from players in multiple games were all held in high regard. While some teams like Philadelphia have a potential superstar in the making with Jalen Carter, more is warranted from the rest of the class, thus keeping them off our list. The ability to add both core contributors and glue guys in the middle rounds ultimately showcases the top annual classes. A Day 2 pick, Tyjae Spears has looked electric in all phases in his rookie campaign and, depending on Derrick Henry's future , he could see his role dramatically increase moving into next year.

They need edge help, but he plays more like a down 5-technique. He's a good player, a tough player, a physical player, but he isn't an explosive rusher.

Doubling up at tight end, with Luke Musgrave in Round 2 and Tucker Kraft in Round 3, was a fascinating approach and could open up far more 12 personnel possibilities than the Packers have had in a few years. I'm not sure he's a star in the making, but he absolutely can become a Preston Smith -caliber contributor in time. A talent whose elite athleticism and mirroring ability had evaluators drooling over the chance to draft him, the future looks bright for Jones in Pittsburgh.

At pounds, lacking elite speed, Addison must show he can get loose from press-man coverage, but he's a three-level threat with polished route-running skills. Loaded with picks, the Cardinals mostly did a fine job matching need with proper prospect value. Ojomo will be a nice rotational piece at 3-technique for Philadelphia. He's likely to thrive in Arthur Smith's run game, and the Falcons are assembling a good offensive line in front of Robinson. Nothing brutal either. Young was a major reach in Round 3. I wasn't the biggest Jalin Hyatt fan, but that also came with the idea that some team could spend a top pick on him. Good for the Commanders to address the trenches when they did. Spotty success for the Cowboys in this draft. So, which are we going with: "Fresnola" or "Fresneaux State? He was thrown into the fire as Chicago's No. Lastly, the Cards' three defensive picks to round out the draft were also good values, all offering plus athleticism for their respective positions.
