Edgemont community association

The Edgemont Community Association is the means through which Edgemont residents can have a say in their neighbourhood.

The community is largely a northwest extension of Nose Hill. It is edged by steep escarpments at the southeast end of the community. Due to its elevation, Edgemont is exposed to more wind than the surrounding communities, but this elevation also provides exceptional views of Calgary and the mountains. Edgemont offers many recreational opportunities to residents including tennis courts, skating rinks, playgrounds, pathways and numerous ravines. There are both public and separate schools in the community. The community association shares space with Edgemont Elementary school, allowing it to have access to the gym in the evenings. The community center also contains a fireplace, hardwood floors popular for yoga and dance, a commercial kitchen and a preschool.

Some of the programs facilitated by the community association are the Edgemont soccer association, softball, basketball, grassroots hockey, yoga, seniors power walking, tutoring, and before and after school programs.
