What a terrific place to have a dinner with friends. Great selection of cocktails and drinks. Brilliant service, funky fun vibe and the food is impeccably presented and delicious. The service was great too, although it did take a while to get our initial drinks order. Once everything started flowing though there was a constant stream of delicious dishes and drinks to the table. Great experience, will definitely return. Absolutely sensational. Great food and great service. Sushi rolls and prawn tempura greasy are a bit mediocre, but everything else is amazing, especially the fish collar and the deserts. Amazing vibe. Transported me on a flavour wave to Japan. Such an amazing experience! I completely understand the price point because they mix such an amazing atmosphere with such a delicious variety of food, presented with the upmost care in the detail. I would love to go again and recommend Etsu to everyone for a great dining experience.

Now, restaurants must provide the whole package. We have to give someone a great experience. Bad service, having to look around to get service, is as offensive as bad food. Like the brown paper wrapped package, it would be easy to walk right past the non-descript wooden doorway, to underestimate its inner contents. A spiky tree provides a centrepiece for a communal table as the restaurant opens up, story-like, into a satirical comic book mural by local artist Mark Wilson. No excuses needed in traditional Japanese sake bars!
