Copy of Raynquist's Fall belt balancer collection, organized into nested blueprint books by number of input belts. Balancers are included for all configurations from to , plus some x, x, , , , and Also includes lane balancers for 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8 lanes. Includes inline variants of lane balancers for 2 and 4 belts, lane balancers duplicated in separate lane balancer book as well as integrated into individual input belt books. Book is configured for blue belt but most smaller balancers can be downgraded to yellow or red belt without issue. Replacement larger yellow belt versions are included in a dedicated book for those where available. A few balancers had underground lengths shortened and extra regular belts added to make them compatible with lower tier belts compared to Raynquist's designs.

I've been slowly chipping away at my first rail and megabase world and I'm getting to the point where I need to efficiently grow my copper and iron stations. They're currently setup to support 48 lines of their ore type 24 on either side of the station , but all my stations are filling up at different rates. I noticed on the wiki that theres balancers up to 16 lines and I should add I can't use the 16 line version since I only have access to red belts right now. Basically, my lines are a mess which is why I'm not even bothering to post a screenshot, and I'm all for remaking all my 48 output lines or I can make it a slightly different number if that's easier , but how would you go about balancing something on this scale? In other languages:. Ideally, a balancer should be input and output balanced. Belt balancers utilize the mechanic that splitters output items in a ratio onto both their output belts. That means that a splitter can be used to put an equal amount of items on two belts. Since the process can be repeated infinitely, balancers with 2 n output belts are easy to create. Balancers also use the mechanic that splitters take an equal amount of items from both input belts. That means that a splitter connected to two input belts will evenly distribute those items onto the the two output belts.

Agreed about watching the belts -- I just wanted to give you more options You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. They're beautiful for sure, but I may lose my mind before I copy something of that magnitude from a screenshot haha! You can build a set of linear equations, where each splitter is an equation and the variables are the total throughput on the graph. So, if only one side of that splitter gets input, as can be seen in the gif, it can only output one belt even though the side of the splitter is fed by a splitters which gets two full belts of input. Global Achievements. View mobile website. It's not, at least not if you allow a little bit of circuit network. This is the case because they use more splitters than the minimum required amount of splitters for a throughput unlimited balancer. When more than the number of allowed outputs backs up, the universal balancer behaves like a normal balancer, and may not balance properly. To be throughput un limited , a balancer must fulfil the following conditions:. I did test it, of course. The most obvious failure is in the balancer: this model says you need 4 splitters to do the trick, while the usual blueprint people use has 6 splitters.

If a universal balancer is throughput limited, the bottleneck may be in the loops or the balancer itself. Store Page. The splitter priority technique used in the and has been extended to the , , and , making them throughput unlimited. Piccolo-san: Yea thanks again. Bravo, seems to me, is a magnificent phrase
