Fallout new vegas canon ending
No Mutants Allowed. Thoughts on canon endings for Fallout?
Hey everybody! So recently i've been pondering what the 'canon' endings for the Fallout games are. I'm going to disregard Fallout and Fallout 2 as they only have one ultimatum end. Now remember these are my opinions, these haven't been confirmed by Bethesda or its affiliates, so take these with a grain of salt. For an ending to be 'canon' seems to follow the trend of the 'Good Karma' route.

Mattheau posted Before anyone goes on about upgraded Securitrons, there are a few things that should be kept in mind. Fully upgraded Securitrons are still not that hard to kill. Left to their own devices the fully upgraded Securitrons still get slaughtered during the Hoover Dam battle. There is only a limited number of them and no more of them can be built. Log In Sign Up. Boards Fallout: New Vegas what is the canon ending. Mattheau 12 years ago It's almost definitely NCR. Besides precedent, they are the only one with a solid ending that makes sense no matter how you approach it and doesn't destroy most of the factions. Legion: Automatically not canon. Their ending requires killing and destroying virtually every faction.
Not to mention house clings to his ideal of the old world, eventually the mistakes of the past will repeat themselves. Posts:
This was something I was wondering about, and was hoping someone could elaborate on this. I am very interested to know if there are hints in Fallout 4 about it, if there are, maybe I just haven't come across any in my 10 Days Ingame of playing, although the only sort of hint I have is from the Prdwyn terminal about Maxon's rise to power, where they talk about the West Coast elders. There is no canonical ending to New Vegas as long as there's no follow-up game set on the West Coast. Also the Prydwen entries are so filled with pathos, they're a joke, they are made up to "show" how great Maxson as leader is, even if he's not better than the average Enclave guy. Ah okay thanks for clearing that up I had a feeling that most of what was on that Terminal had to be somewhat exaggerated Although I wonder what happened to the rest of the West Coast Brotherhood, if they were at war with the NCR. They lost a bunch of guys during that fight, therefore I think the ones at the bunker are all that left, well, except Elijah and Christine of course.
I was wondering what the community thought was the most canon ending for New Vegas, As in which ending will they reference being the outcome in later games. I beleive it is either Mr. House or Yes man YesMan I think being the more canon of the two. We don't decide what is canon. We just bring the info. I has not been decided by the staff at Bethesda Softworks, and it might never be. If you want opinions, make a blog about it instead of a forum, and have users vote for their faction. I'd say it will either be NCR or Mr. House, however they wouldn't do Yes Man simply because there are too many variables as to what the courier would be like and how he would have handled it. Legion would also be unlikely because history has shown that the game developers side with the "Good Guys" when it comes to making things canon, and legion is too evil.

Fallout 3 and NV all have different ways to end and especially adding in fallout 4 with multiple endings. Then again, it's Hooover Dam, so there'd probably be an exception for such a large and hard-won victory, or crippling and soul-crushing defeat. He actually seemed to have a plan for the future unlike the others. Showing 1 - 15 of 64 comments. But at the same time it comes across the NCR isn't quite as good as it appears to be, it is just as selfish as everyone else. If either faction decides they want New Vegas, he can't stop them. Originally posted by guardians of gahoole :. Lacking a solid foundation, the largely uneducated and uncivilized Legion would likely break apart throughout the East, in a string of civil wars fighting for control of certain areas or of the Legion as a whole I think the game even mentions this at some point. With the Khans pushed out of the area. Ammunition Apparel and armor C. And thats what I like about Mass Effect There is no canon, just what you choose.

Yeah, Denver would be great for your suggestion. See, my main ending is independent Vegas with the Courier in charge. Furthermore, the Khans are either wiped out or cease their raiding life. Say what you want about progress but it allows for more creative freedom and honestly more interesting outcomes for future titles. My Courier is washing away House's pretences of the old world, which just don't work any more, and creating a fairer but more pragmatic city-state on good terms with the NCR but strictly separate from it. Granted, the Fallout Bible is only canon now in as much as it doesn't contradict Bethesda's lore, but it still is pretty set-in-stone about the first two games. Sun Feb 28, pm. Now that I cannot say at all, but I would hope it is the absolute Ulysses ending. Some of you may be thinking 'well the answer is obvious, you kill the raiders' and yep. No Mutants Allowed. Too bad for him my courier was a power hungry bitch. Of course the bigger thing would really be what cannon ending he choose for Lonesome Road. Steps can be taken to limit power struggles, though. So I refused, and everyone turned hostile. It shows that there's too much unity for a game that is both bleak and humorous.
