The Warwick homestead is a possible settlement built in the Nut Island sewage treatment facility. The fertilizer from this old sewage facility offers great mutfruit and tato growing conditions, if you can get over the stench. The homestead is huge, with a little bit of scrap for steel but none for wood, meaning that supply lines will be necessary to expand. Still, the main facility provides lots of shelter for new settlers. There is also lots of arable land for growing more crops, and establishing water lines. The homestead is in an extremely dangerous part of the Commonwealth, so raids are frequent and defenses are essentially mandatory to maintain the settlement. This is a simple, defensible area. The arable fields are located to the side of the main sewage treatment facility, with the building itself converted into a very durable habitat. The sewage tank is still full, giving the place its unique, pungent aroma. The Vault - Fallout Wiki. The Vault - Fallout Wiki Explore. Dark skin Light skin Switching skins.

Building a Better Crop is an Institute side quest in Fallout 4. After the quest Institutionalized , speak with Doctor Isaac Karlin , or after the quest Mankind - Redefined , speak with Doctor Clayton Holdren and he will mention that Karlin could use some help. Karlin will explain that they have replaced Roger Warwick of Warwick homestead with a synth and need seeds delivered to perform an experiment. He will then provide a passphrase to use when talking to Warwick. Warwick homestead is east of Atom Cats garage and south of the Castle. Go there and speak with Roger, giving him the passphrase. Follow Roger on the "tour" of the homestead, then speak to him again to deliver the seeds. Roger will discuss Bill Sutton 's actions around the homestead, and voice his concerns that Bill knows that Roger is a synth. Roger will ask the Sole Survivor to investigate and resolve the issue for him, starting by talking to Roger's family. Wally and Janey will not provide any information without completing a medium persuasion check, at which point they will mention Cedric Hopton going to Goodneighbor.

Roger Warwick is an Institute synth posing as a farmer living at Warwick homestead in When the Sole Survivor speaks with Janey , Roger's daughter, she says that her father is a lot nicer than he used to be. This change came when the human Roger Warwick was replaced with a synth built by the Institute some time before the Sole Survivor's arrival, taking over his life. Compared to the original Roger, a drunkard who barely worked on the farm, the synth is a much kinder and more hardworking individual who expresses seeming care for his family. His family attributes the change to a period of time in their near past when super mutants destroyed their crops and left them to starve, believing that the near-death situation gave him a new perspective on life. When his family comments on this, he passes it off as trauma-induced insomnia. Roger is a key component of the BioScience division's Warwick Homestead Initiative, a plan to test genetically modified seeds on the surface. The Institute intends to retrieve Roger and the crops following the end of their testing, and all evidence of their presence would be purged alongside the retrieval. Roger's foreman, Bill Sutton , correctly suspects that he is a synth and is attempting to convince Cedric Hopton and the other Warwicks of the truth, going as far as instructing Cedric to hire mercenaries to kill Roger.
